Solarigo is constructing an industrial-scale solar park on a former peat production area of Kuortane's Honkisaarenneva. The park's annual production estimate is at maximum 31 GWh. The production corresponds to the electricity consumption of more than 1,500 electrically heated houses. The EU has supported Honkisaarenneva solar park project. Development
The project started in cooperation with the landowners of Honkisaarenneva.
After Solarigo Systems Oy's initial examination, the project was perceived as having potential. Investment support for Large Demonstration Projects of New Energy Technology was applied for the project from EU through Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.

Construction permit

Installations begins
The installation of mounting systems and solar panels at the Honkisaarenneva Solar Park began in February 2025. Tree removal and water protection structures were completed during the winter. Earthworks continue simultaneously with the installations.

Foundation work nearing completion
The site's piling is in its final stages, and access road construction is underway. Approximately 40% of the mounting systems and panel installations have been completed.
